Who We Are
Yes!School is a small private school in Vaughan for families who want more for their children than a large classroom can offer. Smaller groups mean every child is seen, challenged at the right level, and supported when they struggle. We teach the Ontario curriculum and build on it, with advanced programs in literacy, numeracy, science, and French from Junior Kindergarten onward.
Our teachers speak English, Russian, Ukrainian, and Hebrew. Instruction is in English, in line with our Ontario registration, but children whose first language is not English are welcomed and supported in their home language when needed, especially in the early grades.
What we stand for
Academic excellence that means something. We teach the Ontario curriculum and go beyond it in literacy, math, science, and French. Children learn to read carefully, write clearly, and think through a problem before reaching for the answer. Homework is purposeful, not busywork.
Soft skills, taught on purpose. Focus, persistence, listening, working with a partner, asking for help, recovering from a mistake. These show up in every classroom every day, and we treat them as skills to be learned, not personality traits children either have or don't.
Individualized learning, inside a real class. Small groups let teachers know where each child is, what they are ready for next, and where they need more time. A child ahead in reading is not held back. A child finding math hard is not left behind.
Room to discover what they are good at. Music, art, French, science experiments, performance. Children at Yes!School get the chance to try enough different things to find what lights them up, and the time to get good at it.
A supportive environment, for the whole child. Nutritious hot lunches and fresh snacks. Complimentary early drop-off. Extensive after-school care. The kind of warmth that makes a four-year-old want to come back tomorrow and a ten-year-old feel safe enough to take a risk in class.
